A number of mechanisms linking the damaging factors of COVID-19 with acidosis are considered, the existence of positive feedback links between the development of hypoxia and acidosis is shown [1]. In the early stages of the disease, inflammation, difficulty in gas exchange, thrombosis and other lesions of the body bring the occurrence of acidosis closer. In accordance with the Bohr effect, a decrease in blood pH leads to a drop in saturation, which contributes to the further development of acidosis and leads to a deterioration of the patient's condition. A decrease in pH can also cause conformational changes in the S-protein of the virus and lead to a decrease in the affinity and avidity of antibodies. Data on infection of immune cells with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and antibody-dependent intensification of infection are considered.
