In the given article the problem of the pedagogical readiness of the teacher of the higher technical school is considered. The realization of the major problems connected with the educational process, demands special attention to the personnel selection. The teacher of a high school should have abilities of the organizer, the orator, the analytics, the psychologist in order to possess logic of the pedagogical process and education, to be a highly competent expert in this field and the erudite in the other fields of knowledge. The pedagogical activity model of the teacher, taking into account all basic qualifying requirements, is offered.
