In a modern high school math curriculum, the software is not optimal for working with figures in volumetric space. You can solve that problem by using a computer-aided design (CAD) system - specialized software used in many different manufacturing e to create two and three-dimensional drawings. These systems will allow students to quickly develop spatial thinking, improve their understanding of the subject, instill an interest in geometry and 3D modeling.

The objectives of the report: to reveal how the use of computer-aided design systems can help in conducting stereometry lessons, to study the options for the practical application of this software, to consider its advantages and disadvantages in comparison with analogues.

Within the framework of this report, the main teaching materials were identified, which are currently most widely used by teachers in the course of stereometry. Most teachers use drawings on a whiteboard, programs like Geogebra Classic or an MES electronic board to visualize the material. However, this is often not enough for the formation of spatial thinking in a studetns. Students who come to technical universities, already in the first couples of descriptive geometry, show a complete lack of the ability to work with figures in space.

The authors of the report propose to use CAD for visualization as an aid in explaining theorems or parsing problems. It will be an invaluable experience for the student to be able to look at the figure from different angles, to consider each part separately, to make a cut of any shape and size. With the help of CAD, you can quickly and conveniently create shapes of any size and shape, which makes it easier for the teacher to prepare for the lesson and conduct it. In this report, examples were given of which tasks from the stereometry course are optimal for the implementation of CAD, their solution was analyzed, as well as construction methods.

The possibility of application not only in stereometry, but also in other educational disciplines in which visualization of material is important, such as biology, chemistry, etc. was also considered.
