Considering the issues concerning the solution of the further development of the domestic scientific sphere, it is necessary to answer the question - what is a research organization? The answer is obvious - these are primarily people. Scientists who are the most valuable resource of any scientific organization. And the first task facing the leadership of scientific organizations is the preservation and multiplication of this scientific resource.One of the main methods to solve this problem is the employee motivation system and the mechanism of its implementation.

The main objectives of motivation in research organizations are:

- maintaining a permanent staff of researchers and preventing the "turnover" of qualified personnel;

- attracting the most competent (capable of independent scientific work) young highly qualified specialists to the scientific organization, as well as their retention in the organization's staff;

- encouraging researchers to act in the interests of the entire research organization;

- improving the quality of scientific research and development and the productivity of scientific work in general.
